Configuring image files for online translation

You can create a file format configuration that users can select when they want to import image files for online translation. The configuration determines various actions and settings:

  • Whether text is extracted from the image files and how translators view the source text

  • How target files are created

  • Which types of text are not translated

  • How long or short, translated text segments can be

  • Which types of image files can be imported

Procedure

To create a file format configuration for image files, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Translation Settings > Document Formats.

  2. On the list of document formats, click Image files.

  3. On the right side of the page, click Add new.

  4. Fill in information at the top of the page, and configure settings on the General, ‘Do not translate,' QA, and ‘File conditions’ pages.

  5. In the top right corner of the page, click Save.

  6. On the left side of the page, ensure that Status is set to Enabled.
