Related items

As part of the new translation process, you can translate any item, along with its related items. The option is named as ‘Translate Item and Related Items’. Refer to the screenshot below:

Whenever you choose this option, Wordbee Beebox Connector For Sitecore software looks into the Sitecore Link database and obtains all the reference links of an item. Then it lists that over multi-step item selection wizard. Refer to the screenshot below:

Here-in select the item for translation. You can choose all item or few.

An item may have some common items associated, like header or footer, and you won’t want to translate such common items every time. You can choose to delist such items in the selection process permanently. Please go to Beebox folder @ ‘/sitecore/system/Modules/Beebox/Translation Settings/Exclude Item Collection’ and add item with ‘/sitecore/templates/Beebox/Settings/Exclude Translation Preference’ template. The template allows you to choose items for exclusion during translation. Refer to the screenshot below:

In case you decide the switch-on translation for the excluded item on a temporary basis, just check the ‘Disable Exclusion’ field. It has been highlighted in the screenshot above.

Note:

As mentioned, the related items algorithm is based on the Link database. Please consider rebuilding the link dataset, if you aren’t seeing the desired list of items in the item selection wizard.
