You may want to import your own databases to the system for further use or create empty ones to start gathering and reusing the content of your projects during your platform work.

- Click on Resources on the menu bar.
- Click on Add new (at the upper right of the Translation memories Memories page, the Project
- Memories page, the Terminology page or the All page) or point to Resources on the menu bar and click on Add new.
- Create new database opens.
- Click on Next.
- Choose between a Translation memory and a Terminology database.
- Choose the source and the target languages.
- Give a name to your resource and leave comments if you want to.
- When you have finished filling in all the required fields, click on Finish.
Your new database has been created.
- You can however see that the resource is not ready because of this icon:

- Click on Import if you need to attach another add content from an existing file to your linguistic this resource.
- Click on Export if you want to export the file to content into a file you can then save on your computer.
- You can also add labels to your resources (see: What is a label? for more information).

Note: You can create a Translation memory database from a document which is already translated, by matching segments, phrases from the source language version to the translated version. This process is called Alignment.

- You can save the settings of an imported translation memory and use the form every time you are importing a translation memory containing the same characteristics (different languages and comments in the same columns). To do so, click on at the top right of the page. You will see this window:
From there, you can either load a previous form that has been saved or save this form for future use. This way, you can skip the step visible on the screenshot above and entitled "Choose sheets, columns..."
- *If you choose a CSV file:*
- Click on Next.
- Choose the source language, the target language, the name you want to give to the translation memory and leave comments if you want to.
- Click on Next.

- Click on Select and find the file on your computer.
- Choose the source and the target languages and click on Finish.
- Define how the file is to be imported.
- Click on Finish.
- Final step.
- Your linguistic Resource has been successfully imported.
- You can however see that the resource is not ready because of this icon:
- Click on Update index and then on Index contents.
- Click on Import if you need to attach another file to your translation memory/ terminology database.
- Click on Export if you want to export the file to your computer.
