Administration - Email Server

To have the Beebox send email notifications you first need to configure an email server. This can be your corporate server, Microsoft Exchange, Google Mail, Microsoft Live or others.

Check your firewall: The Beebox will connect to the email server using SMTP. Ensure that the Beebox server firewall permits outgoing TCP/IP connections to the server host and port. Add a firewall rule if access is blocked.

Proceed as follows:

  • Go to the Email server page:

  • Click Edit and then tick the Enable Emails option. Fill in all parameters for your email server:

  • Test your parameters with the Send a test email link.
  • Finally, click Ok in the top right to save your changes.
