Post-editing is the process of improving a machine-generated translation. The role of a post-editor is to rapidly spot the errors generated by machine translation and correct them. A revision task can be done afterward to ensure good translation quality.
This approach ensures a relatively cost-effective and fast way to have large volume projects translated. It is increasingly being used by language service providers, corporations, and freelance translators in order to reduce turnaround times.
