There, you can find the following tabs:
Memories:

  • Click on Search to find a term or phrase in the linguistic resources of the project and installed dictionaries.

    Some terms or phrases have already been translated but may not be included when their reliability falls below the limits you established for fuzzy matches. 
  • Click on Phrases or Terms or More to find them and if you think that the translation of the word/phrase is correct, click on to paste it in the to-be- translated segment.
  • If you want to add a new word and its translation (or a new segment, sentence..) to your linguistic resource, click on Add record and follow these steps:

  • Highlight the word or the sentence you want to add to the linguistic resource with the cursor of your mouse. It automatically appears in the source language box of the Add record window (see screenshot below)
  • Then, do the same for the source language.
  • Click on


Note: This feature is only available if you have selected a translation memory and/or a terminology database (or several) to help you with your translation.

  • Click on Resources to check the project's resources.
  • Click on to show the tags in the phrases and terms found in the resource(s). Click again to hide them.


Dictionaries: If you do not find a translation for a term in the linguistic resources, you can always consult the public and private dictionaries proposed by Wordbee Translator by following these steps:

  • Click on Dictionaries.
  • Select the dictionary you wish to use by clicking on IATE Terminology, UNTERM terminology or More (other dictionaries).
  • Type the word in question.
  • Select the domain from the list (if available).
  • Click on Search.

The definition (if found) appears with the following options:

  • View more information
  • Add to translation memory
  • Paste into editor
  • If you click on More, select the online dictionary you wish to use from the list and click on.


Machine Translation:

There are three "machine translation systems" available on Wordbee. You can enable or disable the ones you wish by going to Settings- Translation Settings - Machine translation (screenshot below). You can also use them to pre-translate the entire document.

However, this service is not free and you need your own Google or Microsoft account to have access to these tools.

If you want computer software to pre-translate the text:

  • Click on Machine Translation.
  • The text of the segment you are working on automatically appears in the Enter text box.
  • Click on Translate.

  • If you agree with the translation, you can paste it by clicking on .

If you want to use machine translation for an entire document, go on the Work and delivery tab (for standard projects) or on the Jobs tab (for CoDyt projects), select the document(s) to translate and click on .

You will reach this pop up window

  • Select the system you want to use.
  • Define the segments that have to be translated or not.
  • Click on OK to launch the machine translation.
  • Finally, when the translation is finished, click on view work to see the result. The machine translated segments are brown and have the icon on the left.
