The plugin web-links to a Beebox server and its API. The Beebox is typically installed at a translation agency. Agencies use so-called translation management systems (TMS) to organize and manage translation work. The Beebox sits in front of a TMS and takes care of shuffling back and forth content between translation teams and your Sitecore site. All this is totally transparent and automatic. If you own your own TMS and translation teams you might be interested in running your own Beebox.
