You can view your termbase either in the Terminology Manager Editor or the Translation Editor. In Terminology Manager you can view your list of concepts and their designated terms, add additional information, and create new entries. In the Translation Editor you can translate the source concepts and their related terms into another language. This section shows you in a nutshell how to open your termbase in the desired view and what you can do.

How-to get here

  1. Go to Resources and select Terminology databases.

  2. Make sure your Terminology tab is open.

  3. Select your termbase.

  4. Use the Select drop-down button to view the options.

  5. Open the termbase in the desired view:

    1. View in Terminology Manager or

    2. View in Editor.

In Terminology Manager you can do the following:

  1. Select the language.

  2. View the list of concepts:

    • Each concept has a unique ID number.

    • You can sort the concepts according to their status.

  3. Select one entry from the list to view the concept information and the designated terms.

    • You can edit the information at each field by using the pencil icon.

  4. To create a new concept, click on New concept.

View and edit termbase in Translation Editor

In the Translation Editor you can translate your source terms into another language. As soon as you confirm the translations, the target-language equivalents are automatically added to your termbase.

Open the termbase in Terminology Manager to add additional term-related information.
