If you are performing an RTF file translation, a custom file format configuration might be necessary to achieve the right results in your target file. Outside of the default configuration selections, Wordbee Translator offers many additional choices for configuring:
- Not Extract Extracting Document Properties, User Comments, etc.
- Not Convert Converting Whitespace Sequences or Symbols into Markup.
- Show Whitespaces Showing Whitespaces and Symbols to Translators.
- Not Translate Translating Certain Styles, Colors, Words, or Segments.
- Enabling Options to Reduce Markup.
- Handle Handling Embedded Files (Microsoft WordExcel, ExcelPowerPoint, etc.and Word).
RTF File Format Options
When setting up a file format configuration for RTF files, there are many options to choose from to ensure extraction is successful. The options are described in general below based on individual sections.

- General Tab - Specify what content should be extracted for translation, configure how to handle whitespaces and symbols, and configure text segmentation preferences.
- Do Not Translate Tab - Add specific files to not be translated within the source file, configure certain font colors to not be translated, or define segments or terms (via regular expressions) to be marked as translatable or not translatable.
- Fonts Tab - Options specific to configuring how certain types of fonts will be handled within the source file.
- Reduce Markup Tab - Options for limiting the amount of markup for improved translation memory hits and reduced translator workloads.
- Embedded Files Tab - Configure the extraction of embedded Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Word files.
